The word GOSPEL literally means "good news".  That good news is all about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  In order to be saved you can trust Christ today by faith, and receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

 

According to the Bible, we have all sinned (Romans 3:23), our sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2), and we deserve eternal condemnation (Romans 6:23). Yet the Bible teaches we can be saved by God's grace (unmerited favor) by trusting in Jesus (John 3:16), who is the only way to salvation (John 14:6).

 

You must believe that He died on the cross in your place ( substitutionary death) to pay the penalty for your sin.  He was buried and He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).  Eternal life is not something we can earn by religion or our good works; it is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
